Thanks for the info.
We ended up checking out Tentsmuir just to see what like with a view to heading down to St Andrews if it wasn't up to much but we managed to find some good sand, quite a few patches of soft stuff but for the most part we managed to pick out a route. Absolutely peach of a beach, how come no kitesurfers there? I managed to get the 4.5 Savage on the go in 22-25mph wind since there was so much space and omg utterly amazing, found it much easier to use with the landboard and what a buzz, had to lean so far back to keep it under control. I managed to get +30 mph out of the buggy and we ended up covering about 22miles ![]() Truly amazing day, I want to do it again today but I'm too knackered and have to work |

Heading to Findhorn this evening after I've put the kids to bed. Should get to the bird hide for just after 7 with a high tide of around 8 so should be perfect conditions. Wind is looking at being cross from the south at about 15 kts (although it feels a bit more than that). Sun is gonna be shining and I'm gonna be one happy bunny

Definately west sands at st andrews
![]() Awesome beach, loads of space and good hard sand for buggy and board. There are a few rules to stick to. You can only kite in the area marked by yellow flags and you must park near the turning circle. Bascially they are trying to protect the dune so do not go past the turning circle and park on the dune. The flagged area for kiting is massive so there is no need to kite outside of it or anywhere near the town end of the beach. If the wind is good chances are most of the locals will be there with a SE forecast. All are a really friendly bunch and will be members of the scottish power kite association and will be happy to offer help and advise. Not sure what our plan is yet so we may see you there. ![]() If not, hope you have a great day ![]() |

Need some info though if anyone can help. Anybody able to advise best place for SE, ESE wind. Moniefieth/Carnoustie, Tentsmuir beach, West Sands in St Andrews we were thinking about checking out Tentsmuir beach cause it looks truly amazing but my mate said the sand may be a bit too soft. |

Awesome day at philorth today. little bit gusy first thing but great all the same.
Nice to see everyone out having fun and progressing really well. Tell ya what though them C4's are some machine and great fun even in the 30mph we had first thing. We were out on the 10m's and then teaching on them too. Scott must have been clear of the water for over a 100m doing his superman impression! Fingers crossed for tomoz but it does look like it'll be blown out with gust upto 50mph ![]() |
